Modern Quilt Blocks

Even if you've never sewn a garment before, but have done quilts and home decor, you can join this group.If you don't have a stash of orphan blocks and really want to learn to make a quilted jacket, come join us and use fabric panels, yardage, or make blocks in the Beachcomber Pattern.

We will begin in January by figuring out the correct size of pattern to cut and what alterations you want to make: sleeve length or sleeveless, hip length or longer, collar or no collar, hood or no hood. What batting will you choose or will you use a sweatshirt as the base? Willl you be lining it or not? February through April we will be constructing the garment in sections and working on finishing details.

Class meets the second Wednesday of each month, 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
